Job Description:
Join the Merchant Services Business Development team! In this
role, you will drive the end-to-end client experience. Many of our
clients are moving into an embedded payment strategy for the first
time and depend upon their Financial Institution to support that
with expert counsel on best practices.As an Executive Director
within Business Development in Merchant Services, you will focus
primarily on generating new business from prospective clients. You
will work closely with an established team of Commercial Bankers
and Treasury Sales teams within the Technology & Disruptive
Commerce segment. This tech-focused banking group will serve a wide
range of client types across multiple sub-verticals (e.g.,
Software, Internet, Applied Tech, Climate Tech, Disruptive
Commerce, Payments).Job Responsibilities
- Cultivate new business opportunities within the portfolio by
aligning with the Banker and Treasury team to achieve individual
sales goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and client advocate, leveraging core
knowledge to recommend and promote banking and payment processing
solutions for a seamless client experience across JP Morgan.
- Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues,
incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity
quantification, and solution positioning.
- Build template-driven business case quantification for clients
in support of payment solutions.
- Complete analysis to competitively identify and price JP Morgan
products and services for profitability.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with key
decision-makers at various levels (including C-level executives) to
evaluate needs and propose solutions from our merchant services
suite.
- Partner with internal product stakeholders to represent the
client perspective in the development and evolution of complex
products and solutions; collaborate to ensure successful
implementation and ramp-up.
- Follow sound risk management protocols and adhere to regulatory
requirements, working directly with Credit, Risk, and Quality
Control teams to comply with Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your
Customer regulations.
- Apply consultative influencing and selling strategies to
develop and execute solutions across stakeholders such as Finance,
IT, Product, and Marketing.
- Drive complex contract renegotiations.
- Make recommendations on new products and services based on
client input and industry observations.Required Qualifications,
Skills, and Capabilities
- Minimum of 8+ years of related sales and relationship
management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the merchant services industry, products,
and services, with technical acumen.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally
and externally.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence others to
achieve desired outcomes.
- Use sound judgment to offer comprehensive, customized solutions
that meet client needs; identify and recommend alternatives when
necessary.
- Ability to balance client needs with associated risks and the
firm's interests.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client issues, own problems
on their behalf, and follow through on commitments.
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel,
Word, and PowerPoint.Additional InformationThis position is subject
