The Opportunity This Tax Manager role offers the chance to work on complex, high-level tax engagements while developing leadership skills and building lasting client relationships. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of the tax practice while working alongside experienced partners and a talented team. Key Responsibilities Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to a diverse client portfolio Research and resolve complex tax issues while staying current on evolving tax legislation Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for key client relationships Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and senior associates Review work product for technical accuracy, compliance, and quality standards Identify business development opportunities and contribute to practice growth Ensure engagements are delivered on time and within budget parameters Participate in firm initiatives and strategic planning activities Represent the firm at networking events and industry functions Ideal Candidate Profile Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Active CPA license in good standing 7 years of progressive public accounting tax experience Demonstrated expertise in federal and state tax regulations Proven track record managing multiple complex engagements simultaneously Strong technical tax knowledge across various entity types Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related field Experience serving specific industries or niches Background with high-net-worth individuals and sophisticated tax planning Experience with corporate tax, partnership taxation, or M&A transactions Prior management or supervisory experience in public accounting Business development experience and professional network Compensation & Benefits Our client offers a highly competitive compensation package including: Base salary of $165K - $250K commensurate with experience Performance-based annual bonus Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, life insurance) 401(k) retirement plan with generous employer matching Flexible work arrangements and generous PTO Professional development budget and CPA/CPE support Clear partnership track for qualified professionals Collaborative culture with work-life balance emphasis Why This Opportunity?
