Job Description Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of incoming products and components. You will confirm specifications by conducting visual and measurement tests using defined inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Additionally, you will inspect electronic assemblies, operate visual inspection devices like X-ray, and capture and register inspection data using the required systems. Responsibilities Inspect incoming products or components to confirm specifications. Conduct visual and measurement tests using inspection tools. Perform inspection of electronic assemblies. Operate visual inspection devices, such as X-ray. Capture and register inspection data accurately. Essential Skills Proficiency in quality inspection using micrometers and calipers. Experience in electronic testing and quality assurance. Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600). Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum 1-year experience in electronic assembly, particularly with SMT and thru-hole operations. Previous inspection or rework experience is an asset. Background in IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies) and IPC-A-600. Working knowledge of J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies). Working knowledge of IPC 7711/7721 (Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies). Working knowledge of IPC-WHMA-A-620 (Requirement and Acceptance of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies). Work Environment Work in a 154,000 square feet temperature-controlled facility with over 550 people on site. Join the first shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, in an environment equipped with 7 SMT lines. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Newark, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
