Title: Material Lab Chemist
Duration: 06 MonthsMode: Onsite
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Conduct synthesis and processing of various porous materials, including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent-organic frameworks (COFs), zeolites, silicas, metal oxides, porous polymers, and composites.Perform characterization of materials using techniques like gas sorption, FTIR, TGA, NMR, XRD, and electron microscopy.Assist with the development, optimization, formulation and manufacturing scale-up of novel materials for specific applications.Contribute to the design and execution of experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.Stay current with the latest advancements in porous materials research and contribute to the team's knowledge base.Collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.Experience in laboratory settings and familiarity with basic chemical equipment and techniques.Strong understanding of fundamental chemical principles and concepts.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Effective communication and writing skills.Proficient in Google Docs, Slides, and basic data analysis software.Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications: Experience with specific characterization techniques like gas sorption, XRD, or NMR is a plus.Knowledge of porous materials and their applications is a plus but not required.
