World Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in King City, California. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a night shift crisis assignment supporting adult and pediatric patients in an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to float to a Skilled Nursing Department as needed. Contract & Schedule Details Assignment Length: 13-week contract Shift: Night shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts Holiday Coverage: Required Hours: Full shift billed; occasional call-offs may occur based on census Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and non-critical pediatric patients Deliver safe and effective Med-Surg nursing care in a fast-paced environment Float to the Skilled Nursing Department as needed to support staffing requirements Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols Document patient care accurately and timely using the EMR system Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes Licensure & Experience Requirements Active and current California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience Experience caring for non-critical pediatric patients Ability to float to skilled nursing settings Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Systems & Technology Cerner EMR experience required Additional Information Candidates must be able to work night shifts exclusively Overtime may be available based on operational needs Holiday coverage required Housing availability may be limited in the assignment area Please note: Only candidates who meet all minimum qualifications and required certifications will be considered.
