Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1
year oncology experience required; prefer Bone Marrow Transplant
experience License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS
Must-Have: Oncology experience Description: Case Manager for a
clinic setting working with the authorization department. Handle
new patient referrals. Collaborate with multiple departments to
schedule appointments. Respond to patient messages and electronic
medical record pools. Experience with patient diagnoses including
leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and stem cell transplant is
essential. Preferred certifications include Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC)
and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Skills in administration of
bone marrow, management of graft rejection, graft-versus-host
disease, and anaphylaxis required. Ability to recognize and manage
side effects of treatment, and assess medication
tolerance/dependence. Experience with care coordination and
patient/family education vital. Knowledge of isolation precautions,
neutropenic precautions, and abnormal lab values necessary. Ability
to respond to various patient needs such as constipation/diarrhea,
nausea/vomiting, and altered mental status is important. Essential
skills include total body irradiation and understanding stem cell
therapies. Candidates must be actively committed to compliance
requirements before starting. Experience of 1-3 years required
