Summary:The Fleet Manager is responsible for the management and
daily operation of specific garages in term of staff, maintenance,
safety and third party vendors within a region, as well as
responsibility for the implementation and achievement of Fleet
operational programs and policies. Key Job
Responsibilities:Responsible for managing company owned vehicles,
garages, and mechanics to provide a safe and dependable fleet of
vehicles Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe
environment through compliance of all Company, Local, State and
Federal mandates or programsCreate a Continuous Improvement
environment by improving products, service, and processes with the
objective to reduce waste within the Region while striving for
efficiency and profitabilityOversee mechanics that perform all
mechanical repairs needed to all types of vehicles/equipment and to
make proper decisions to make sure all vehicles/equipment are ready
to safely operate when neededKnowledge on how to perform light and
heavy duty repairs in order to coach and/or train mechanicsChampion
special projects to achieve budget and productivity goalsUtilize
Fleet tools and programs to manage to defined standardsComplete and
lead fleet audit compliance and correction within area of
responsibilityManage preventive maintenance program compliance,
maintain accurate records on all services and DOT /State
inspections performedComplete incident reports and conduct full
incident investigation to determine root causeAdministration of
Fleet department Safety programs within the regionReview purchasing
programs and manage parts inventoryAcquire and maintain expertise
in our fleet maintenance management software (FastFleet)Assist in
preparing annual budgetsOther duties as assigned#LI-MC1 Position

History:Technical Degree in related field, Bachelor's is preferred.
A combination of education, training and experience that results in
demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
Ideal candidate will possess:This position requires 5-7 years'
experience in Fleet or Transportation fieldKnowledge of DOT and
state inspection programsBackground in heavy vehicle repair along
with 3-5 years of supervisory experienceStrong leadership and
management skills requiredRequires excellent written and oral
communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively
negotiate and influence others.Excellent organizational and
planning skills.\Computer skills and proficiency, specifically
PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.Labor relations experience
preferredDOT / State inspection license preferredWork requires the
ability to read, write and communicate in English in order to
understand work, safety instructions and comply with DOTMust be
able to do basic math calculations to count, verify, add, subtract,
multiply and divideTravel Required:
30%Salary Range: $85,200 - $110,700Comprehensive Benefits
